So, in my opinion this must be story about business,religion and religion…..just because cricket is equivalent to religion in a country like India…..and this is obvious that many people will read this book just because it is having cricket in it,as my interest elevates when I heared about this book (specially abt that it has cricket as major part of story) . Story of “ The 3 mistakes of my life “ revolve around three boys govind, ish and omi. Book starts with ,when author receives an E-mail, from an unknown person Who is committing suicide just by taking a sleeping pill after each sentence he finishes. Next ,begins the exercise to find about his whereabouts, where author take help of his professor (of college days).i liked the way they connect link between Gmail and orkut,and then find information about “G.patel” that’s govind patel… Author started very well ,and he correctly expressed feeling of “Indians” for cricket. Govind, was passionate about having his own big business. Ish’s ,wish was to became a big cricket star but could not complete that, instead he started coaching classes for cricket along with business wehere he teached “Ali” (a twelve year boy… ) Omi , was with his friend s as he do not wont to be a priest in temple …just because his father is .. Chetan’s relevance to sensitive topic like godhra ,and his handelling this topic sensibly is appreciated as he do not made any ”intentional” mistake like most author did to make their book controversial and popular.. Also, chetan has putted more erotica in this novel as compare to his earlier ones,the ending of book looks very filmy with lot of fighting, blood and death of omi at the end.. From my point of view this book is ideal to read , and specially when most of students are on break of summer holidays … So, my rating to this novel is 3/5.. and a must read for those who want to make reading as a habit ,as the content of this is very simple and lucid.
